MyoSmart covers the time between appointments. Patients complete their intake and follow their program in the app, and you see their answers, photos, and progress in your practitioner portal.

A new session opens each week. Patients 13 and up answer a short check-in first, and you can release a session early.

Patients send new photos, you re-evaluate, and the scores are charted against earlier results.
An evaluation built for myofunctional therapy
The evaluation form takes you through the assessment in three steps and saves as a draft, so you can pause during an appointment and pick it up again.

- Range of motion: maximum opening, tongue tip to spot, palatal suction, intermolar width, and lip strength
- Ankyloglossia: attachment location and tongue range-of-motion notes
- A functional checklist, from lip seal and tongue movement to Mallampati class and tonsil grading
- A functional assessment scale covering breathing, sleep, lips, tongue, swallow, chewing, speech, and jaw
- Flags for tongue tie, tongue thrust, and high AHI
- Recommendations and goals for the patient, plus private notes for you

Intake before the first visit
A 32-question screening questionnaire is assigned as soon as you enroll a patient, and scored when they finish.
Guided intake photos
Patients take four photos in the app, lined up against an on-screen outline. You can also upload photos yourself.
Programs for children and adults
A 12-session program for ages 4 to 12 and a 14-session program for ages 13 and up, with demonstration videos and a prescribed dose.
Adjust any session
Swap, add, remove, or reorder drills, change reps, hold time, and frequency, and leave notes on a drill or a session.
Your own drills
Add your practice's own drills with your own video, or replace a stock drill with your version.
Your own questionnaires
Build questionnaires with scoring, then assign them by hand or have them go out automatically on a trigger you set.
Progress over time
Evaluation and questionnaire scores are charted from one result to the next, next to each patient's 7- and 30-day session completion.

Questions you may have
Is MyoSmart a separate app?
No. MyoSmart is a module of the AlignSmart platform. You work in the AlignSmart practitioner portal, and your patients use the AlignSmart app, where the program is labeled Myotherapy.
What ages is it for?
Programs start at age 4. Patients aged 4 to 12 get a 12-session program, and patients 13 and older get a 14-session program.
Can I change the program for a patient?
Yes. You can swap, add, remove, and reorder drills in any session, change the dose, and release a session early. You can also add your own drills with your own video.
Do I need to use AlignSmart's posture program too?
No. A practice can use MyoSmart on its own, the posture program on its own, or both. A patient enrolled in both switches between them in the same app.
Who pays for the app?
When using the app under your care, patients use the app to complete their program. After the program, patients can subscribe to the app to continue to have access for as long as they wish. We'll cover all pricing in your demo.
Is MyoSmart a diagnostic tool?
No. The intake questionnaire is a screening tool, not a diagnosis, and the scores are there to help you track change over time. MyoSmart supports therapy delivered by a qualified practitioner. It doesn't replace an examination by a physician or dentist.
